The bride has the spotlight on the wedding day, just as it should be, but sometimes the groom needs a little attention too! The groom typically has an opinion about certain aspects of the day, and one of them is usually his attire. One way the groom can make it all his own is with his cuff links! This groom loved everything outdoors, and we could tell! We loved these, and thought they added to the groom's own unique style!

Savannah and Chris: Borrowed and Blue Feature

Congratulations to Savannah and Chris on their Borrowed and Blue feature! They were such a sweet couple, and we were so honored to be a part of their day! We thought their wedding was a special one, and apparently Borrowed and Blue thought so too! A vendor dream team came together for their farm wedding at Windwood, and it was the perfect summer wedding! Kalee Baker Events made sure the day went off without a hitch, and the day could not have gone more smoothly. Guests were treated to delicious cake from Pen and Pastry, and it was a huge hit! We are always grateful when our work is published, and congratulations again to everyone who was a part of Savannah and Chris' special day!

Check out their feature here!

Every little girl dreams of the perfect wedding dress. The one that twirls just the right way while you dance the night away. Growing up my mom and I would always watch 'Say Yes to the Dress' and loved seeing what dress each blissful bride chose for her day. The classic "saying yes to the dress" has now stuck and is here to stay. We love to see what each bride says, "YES!" to, and how it reflects her personal style. This lighting was perfect for this bride's farm wedding, and she was stunning in her dress!

Through the Years: Arden Photography

Happy Monday from Arden Photography! A few of our special couples from years past have celebrated anniversaries this past week! Such fun moments were captured at Windwood Equestrian as well as Calvary Baptist Church as they were the perfect venues for these couples. We love looking back at all the unique details of all of our sweet couples' wedding days. It makes us want to do it all over again! Happy anniversary to these special couples!

Frannie and Josh: Arden Photography

We knew Frannie and Josh would be a special couple when Josh said he was from Ireland! They were married at Windwood on a beautiful spring day in March. Their choice not the have a "first look", but instead to exchange notes before the ceremony made the day extra special and intimate. They made the day so easy with their lighthearted humor and laughter. We always look forward to tasting the cake, and Magic Muffins did not disappoint! We loved being apart of their day, and we wish you the best, Frannie and Josh!

Happy {Late} National Doughnut Day! We hope you embraced the national holiday, and grabbed a doughnut {or two} for yourself! It is always a fun when couples have a little something different instead of a groom's cake, and doughnuts are a trend that we are big fans of!  This doughnut wall from We Have Doughnuts, provided some fun decor as well as delicious doughnuts!

Through the Years: Arden Photography

It is officially summer, and wedding season is in full swing season at Arden Photography. We all love any excuse to eat delicious food and take some time to relax, and an anniversary is the perfect excuse to do so! Some of our favorite spots in town to celebrate momentous occasions are: Joe's Italian, Perry'sChuck's , and Bottega. This past week marked a few of our special couples milestones, and we love to share in the celebrations! Happy Anniversary, we wish you all the best from Arden Photography!

Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but everyone knows that a great pair of shoes are the next best thing. You know your friendship with someone is a match made in heaven when you discover you wear the same shoe size, and we just made me asking to borrow these from Kaci! These feminine pumps were the perfect addition to her spring wedding, and showcased her personality perfectly. Treat yourself to a fun pair of shoes!

Through the Years: Arden Photography

Here at Arden Photography, celebrating our happy couples anniversaries is an occasion we love to be a part of! Two years ago today, Morgan and Patrick tied the knot at The Sonnet House on the most beautiful spring day. Their gorgeous outdoor ceremony was followed by dancing the night away under the golden lights with their closest friends and family.

Walking Into the Weekend Like....

We love our couples and as hard as it is to believe we are starting to get to know our 2018 brides. Jamie is such a fun future Mrs. Henderson. We know Alex and Jamie are going to have a great wedding! Seriously how could they not when you look at their "look of love" in this photo! You know that look is contagious! Go hug and kiss your loved ones today!

Here at Arden Photography we love celebrating anniversaries with our happy couples! This weekend marked the anniversary of four of our past couples tying the knot, and we could not be more thrilled to wish them all the best. Reminiscing on such a special day full of fun memories is one of our favorite ways to celebrate such a joyous occasion. Congratulations to our wonderful couples, we wish you many more blissful years to come!

Abbie and Dawson: Arden Photography

Happy 1 month anniversary (plus a couple days) to Abbie and Dawson! They wed on the most beautiful April day at one of our favorite Birmingham Church's Altadena Valley Presbyterian Church. Over the years we have grown closer to the newlyweds and we could not help but look back and share some favorite highlights from their special day. Abbie's dress from Ivory & White portrayed her style perfectly for her special day. Lillie Jane's gorgeous flowers were the perfect touch to this chic bride's style. The reception at the Birmingham Country Club provided guests with delicious food, and lively entertainment from Nationwide Coverage. Every wedding we look forward to trying to the cake, and Magic Muffins did not disappoint. As always, it was delicious and provided guests with the perfect sweet treat for the evening. We were so thrilled to be apart of the Abbie and Dawson's day, and we wish them a very happily ever after!

Maestro's Ball 2016: Arden Photography

We're always excited when this time of year comes around.  The Maestro's Ball was held on Friday night and Arden Photography was front and center.  We absolutely love photographing this event because every year  the tent always holds a huge surprise for us.  Sybil Sylvester of Wildflower Designs, definitely outdid herself this year!  The florals were absolutely amazing and thanks to the team at Event Rentals Unlimited, the tent was just as fabulous!  Chris Hastings started the dinner with his famous tomato salad. The Maestro's Ball benefits the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and guests are treated to a concert before the party begins!  This year, there was an after party held at the Alumni House.   Here are a few of my favorite photos from the night!  There were so many great moments and we're already counting down until next year's event!  For more photos, click the link below!  http://ardenclients.instaproofs.com/enterEvent.php?id=1401301

Happy Anniversary Meagan & Bly! Arden Photography

This week we're celebrating the anniversary of one of our favorite couples, Meagan and Bly!  A year ago this week, a vendor dream team came together and created one of the most magical days in Arden Photography history!  It was an incredible ceremony in Culllman, Alabama followed by a glamorous farm reception at Windwood Equestrian.  Thanks to the lovely ladies of M. Elizabeth Events, this entire day was perfection from start to finish.  An abundance of cascading orchids and timeless florals filled the courtyard while a floating coat was the focal point of the barn area.  We can't believe it's been a year already!  We were hoping for a one year anniversary soirée to commemorate this day but I guess we're counting down to the 10 year mark so we can do it all over again!  Happy Anniversary Meagan and Bly!  We wish you many more years of happiness and cheers to one year!

Kulture City Ball: Arden Photography

Last weekend was such a memorable time especially for an amazing local charity.  We had such an awesome time celebrating with the Kulture City organization.  Celebrity sightings, great food and wonderful entertainment are always the perfect combination for a successful event!  Events at Haven is the newest space in Birmingham that has taken the event world by storm and they had the wonderful role of being the host for the night.   The Ball raised over $100,000 for Kulture City, which provides assistance for autistic children.  There was a live painting demonstration by the dynamic David Garibaldi.  The proceeds from those paintings went directly towards the Kulture City foundation.  We're so grateful to be apart of such an inspiring night.  Thanks to all the vendors and the organizers, I can truly say that the event was a success and we can't wait until next year's!  For more photos from the event, be sure to click the link below!

New Year New You: Arden Photography

Once again, it was time for one of our favorite parties of the year!  The annual New Year New You party was held at Iron City this past Thursday night.  The party was just a celebration of something that started way back in January.  Every year, Matt Crane of Meta Fitness choses a winner to partake on a seven month weight loss and life changing journey!  This year's winner, Derek had such an amazing transformation!  We are so proud of everyone at Meta Fitness who is making a difference in so many lives!  Every year, the event gets bigger and better!  So many sponsors come together to make sure each year is more successful than the previous.  I'm not sure how we're going to top next year's but thank you so much for allowing Arden Photography to capture these amazing moments!

The Cotney Family: Arden Photography

The first time I spoke with Vickie, the only thing we talked about were her kids and how amazing they were!  From that moment, I couldn't wait to meet the Cotney family.  We spent some time at her daughter's home and I got a chance to meet her wonderful grandkids.  This was such an awesome group of people and I really wanted to photoshop myself in the middle of the family.  I could only imagine what holidays and football games in this household are like!  All of the grandkids were so close and got along so well.  They knew what photos they wanted and didn't mind asking for them specifically! I'm so glad that I had an opportunity to meet the Cotney family and I hope we'll have many more memories together!  Here are a few of my favorite photos!
