These two fun people had an amazing wedding at St Thomas by the Sea and the reception was at the Beach club. I am so excited we are working on the wedding album and it will be ready to print in a few weeks. I love what a great they all had!
Meet Piper
I had a great time with the McClure family, although it was cold that day, we made some fun images. Piper didn’t seem to mind and her hat and mittens made my day! I wish we could all have such cute mittens. Doesn’t her mommy dress her adorable!
Raves from Stephanie & Doug!
Hey Arden
I just wanted to email and thank you for everything you and Brett have done for us over the past year. Words can not express how much we love all of our pictures from the engagement pictures at the Waters in Montgomery to the Wedding album. Everything turned out just perfect!! I’ve waited to send this email because my mom just got to see the album last weekend and needless to say see loved it!! We do not have it in our possession any more :) I told her that it’s only out on loan and at some point we will want it back. Thanks again for making our wedding day a memory that we can share and look back at in such a beautiful way :)
P.S. - One day you will have to give me some pointers with the camera. You have inspired me to take more pictures :)
Sincerely, Stephanie & Doug Moseley
Obama
During the presidential elections we received an amazing phone call from the Democratic party to photograph Barack Obama while he was in Birmingham. At the time we took these shots it was so exciting but now that he is our nation’s 44TH president and we had the opportunity to photograph him on his way to the White House it seems surreal. It is funny how when you are in the middle of history in the making it can just go so fast. I am glad to have a time to reflect on the personal experience I had with photographing President Obama. Take a look at the images!
Our 2009 Photo shoot
Happy Valentines Day!
Jackson Hole
Last week Brett & I went to Jackson Hole to photograph Jennifer from The White Room’s wedding. The whole experience was wonderful. Right now we are in the process of editing the 1200 images taken and you will see those soon. Until then these are images of Brett & I having fun in the snow.
Max is here!
I went over to follow YPer Jaime’s house to shoot the newest addition to the family Max. He and Olivia are beautiful children. I really couldn’t get enough of them. Here is the announcement. Welcome to the world little Max.

Melissa Hill Family Photos
Over the holidays I had the chance to photograph my good friend Melissa Hill. She owns Wedding Etc and is a favorite of many of our brides. I think these are great family memories. I hope to photograph her belly soon because Melissa & Caine are expecting twins.
Hot House Designs
Through the years Brett & I have net so many talented people in the wedding industry. Mandy from Hot House Design Studio is one of them. Not to long ago Mandy stopped by our house with a car full of great flowers. We had such a good time shooting these bouquets and eating my favorite Krispy Kreme donuts between shots.
Our 1st Wedding for 2009
Rhea & Reed said their vows on Jan 17, 2009 making them our 1st wedding for the year. It was such a blast to document this couples day. Rhea and I meet a few weeks before at her bridal portraits and had a great time creating images together. This wedding was orchestrated by Ouida Jones-Johnson and everything was perfect for the winter wedding theme. After the ceremony Rhea, Reed and I went over to her grandmother’s house (now owned by an incredibly nice couple). I love the sentimental feeling the images on the family staircase and porch convey. It reminded me of my old family home where my dad and I lived.
Jennifer & Matt's Album
Part of our 2009 task are to create amazing wedding albums for many of our 2008 brides. Jennifer & Matt are really on top of getting images in their home. We just completed our final revisions on their amazing book. Take a peak at some of the layouts. She made a 60+ page album so we can’t post all of them but you will get a feel for her day!
Call Me CoverGirl
We are still reviewing 2008 and it was an amazing year! But can you imagine what a fun year 2009 will be ? So many brides are planning their big day. While I was at Barnes & Noble tonight I sat and watched bride be after bride to be going to the newsstand and literially picking up every wedding magazine on the stand. Currently we have several magazines on the stand with our images in them. This is so exciting. Please check out Alabama Weddings Magazine we shot the cover. This shoot was so much fun!
Our editorial inside. This pink is perfect for our 2009 brides.
Travel 2008
During 2008 we had two Major trips and our first was to Ireland to teach a workshop Zero to 60. Ireland and the workshop was an amazing teaching experience. We taught with fellow PhotoGirl Melissa Jill
During our workshop which was limited to just a few students to keep it personal we taught how to pose, business practices, shooting techniques, camera functions, photo editing, workflow etc. Brett showing Cristi how to pose and teaching our students how to communicate the look for use with future clients
One of my images from the fashion posing session during the on location class (Cristi/model).
Teaching movement. I love a flowing dress shot. I know that our Zero to 60 attendees will use this technique in 2009
This is total fashion. Straight out of Vogue.
In this shot I was showing how you can use diffused natural light and negative space.
A funny shot MJ took of me showing the use of space and light.
All the Zero to 60 family minus Brett & myself…Left to Right…MJ, Esther, Amelia, Mark, Brandi, Trina(hidden)
One of my images shot in between showing examples of posing.
During a break we went into a grocery store and it seemed to be the perfect time to teach ordinary to artful in the scenery. Trina left, Amelia right
Who would have thought with a beautiful bride and a totally fun background of cleaning products you can get an amazing image.
Carrie modeled during the 2nd location class. How to pose for portraits part of our workshop.
In this shot we show how to change your perspective.
The Group, Thanks to everyone for making it to Galway Co. Ireland with us! Pictured here left to right…Esther, Brandi, MJ, Cristi(thanks for modeling), Me, Trina, Amelia, Mark (Brett behind the camera)
1 last funny shot Thanks Melissa for capturing me in action.
Heather & Trey Nov 29, 2008
As we are gearing up for 2009 weddings we are taking a look back at our 2008 brides. One of our last weddings for 2008 was the Wedding of Heather Wilson & Trey Ward in Jackson, MS. We are looking forward to visiting Jackson again several times this year for weddings and I know we will have more beautiful images from Mississippi soon.
We booked this wedding through meeting Heather’s mom D’Ann for a photo shoot with Counter Dimensions. It is always so funny to book weddings through other photo shoots non-wedding related. I am surprised how often it happens.
Heather Married at St James Episcopal Church.
Phoenix 2009
While in Phoenix for the PPA Imaging USA event I stopped in for a visit with Marie, Steve, Dominic, Andrew & Simon. We had a great time and the boys were tons of fun. I can’t believe how full of energy they were. While I was there we took a little time for some photos on the green by their home. Take a peak into the Bohata family life.
Bromberg's Bride features Arden Photography
We love our Partnership with Bromberg’s Jewelry
and can’t wait for the show on Jan 17th at the Summit from 9-11am
More of 2008 Highlights
Arden & Billy were married this summer and this wedding was particularly special to me because…the bride was an Arden, the mother of the bride was an Arden and I am an Arden. So instantly we had a connection and from that connection a beautiful relationship with this couple sprouted. Arden (Bride) loves photography as do I and lives in Montana where I am sure she has the opportunity to take so many amazing photographs. I am sure you can imagine our heads were spinning on wedding day because Arden isn’t a common name but with 3 in a room it was said so often that I was always looking to see who was talking to me. A lot of the time they were talking to Arden Catherine (Bride) because it was her big day. It was a blast and the Family of Arden Mom and daughter now have a special place in my heart. This week I am working on album revisions for the final bridal wedding album so it is fun reliving the day in photographic memories.
Here are a few images…
