A chapel wedding and farm reception make for the perfect Saturday. Wendy and Shane were wed at First Lutheran Church for the perfect summer wedding. Family and friends gathered at the gorgeous church for Wendy and Shane to exchange vows, and then danced and dined all night at Windwood Equestrian in celebration. The best nights are complete with a miniature horse, so "Phoenix" made his appearance to make sure everyone was having fun! Best wishes to the happy couple!
It has been two years, and a few days, since Sarah and Jeremy were wed on a gorgeous summer night at Windwood Equestrian, and it seems like it was yesterday! These two could not have been more picture perfect, and we could not get enough of Sarah's lace gown! Not to mention, Sarah's shoes, which were my absolute favorite! The couple also brought along the most energetic wedding party and crowd to celebrate their marriage. Everyone gathered at the school barn for Sarah and Jeremy's vows, and then danced the night away in celebration. The two were the sweetest couple, and it was a magical day. Happy two year anniversary to Lyndal and Daniel! We can't believe it has been two years since this beautiful couple tied the knot! The two were wed on a gorgeous summer day at Church of the Highlands Chapel were they shared their intimate vows in front of their closest family and friends. We loved Lyndal's choice for an all white color palette. Her style was so elegant and classic, you just couldn't help but fall in love with the day! We always love working with Mariee Ami's team, and they insured that the day went flawlessly. Their reception at the Birmingham Country Club was a celebration for the books! Dancing and tambourines made for an unforgetable night, no one could just stay sitting! Congratulations Lyndal and Daniel! We wish you all the best and many more the come!
We can not believe it has been one month since Jessie and John Cameron's wedding! Jessie and John Cameron were one of those couples you could just tell they were meant to be together. They were inseparable, and when they looked at each other you knew they were in love. They were married at Windwood on a gorgeous June day, and it was the perfect day for a wedding. The farm was looking more beautiful than ever thanks to Susan Huff and Beth Jordan who provided the gorgeous floral arrangements. Jessie and J.C. had an intimate ceremony at the school barn and a reception to follow up at the courtyard where guests enjoyed music and dancing for the night. Guests snapped photos all night in the photo booth, and the cake from Joe's Italian was, of course, one of our personal favorites of the night! Happy one month of marriage from Arden Photography! There are some weddings that rainy days just can not dampen, and this was one of them! The rain stopped just in time for Hollace and J.R.'s ceremony at the school barn, and it could not have been more perfect. We loved getting to know this couple throughout our time with them! Hollace and J.R.'s beautiful day was full of all the gorgeous details thanks to Hothouse Design Studio! We love a day full of pastels and lanterns, and that is just what Hollace and J.R.'s day was! Every little girl dreams of the perfect wedding dress. The one that twirls just the right way while you dance the night away. Growing up my mom and I would always watch 'Say Yes to the Dress' and loved seeing what dress each blissful bride chose for her day. The classic "saying yes to the dress" has now stuck and is here to stay. We love to see what each bride says, "YES!" to, and how it reflects her personal style. This lighting was perfect for this bride's farm wedding, and she was stunning in her dress!
We knew Frannie and Josh would be a special couple when Josh said he was from Ireland! They were married at Windwood on a beautiful spring day in March. Their choice not the have a "first look", but instead to exchange notes before the ceremony made the day extra special and intimate. They made the day so easy with their lighthearted humor and laughter. We always look forward to tasting the cake, and Magic Muffins did not disappoint! We're always excited when this time of year comes around. The Maestro's Ball was held on Friday night and Arden Photography was front and center. We absolutely love photographing this event because every year the tent always holds a huge surprise for us. Sybil Sylvester of Wildflower Designs, definitely outdid herself this year! The florals were absolutely amazing and thanks to the team at Event Rentals Unlimited, the tent was just as fabulous! Chris Hastings started the dinner with his famous tomato salad. The Maestro's Ball benefits the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and guests are treated to a concert before the party begins! This year, there was an after party held at the Alumni House. This week we're celebrating the anniversary of one of our favorite couples, Meagan and Bly! A year ago this week, a vendor dream team came together and created one of the most magical days in Arden Photography history! It was an incredible ceremony in Culllman, Alabama followed by a glamorous farm reception at Windwood Equestrian. Thanks to the lovely ladies of M. Elizabeth Events, this entire day was perfection from start to finish. An abundance of cascading orchids and timeless florals filled the courtyard while a floating coat was the focal point of the barn area. We can't believe it's been a year already! We were hoping for a one year anniversary soirée to commemorate this day but I guess we're counting down to the 10 year mark so we can do it all over again! Happy Anniversary Meagan and Bly! We wish you many more years of happiness and cheers to one year!

Internships are a great opportunity to bridge the gap between school and a great job in the field of photography or any other creative field. The intern will gain a well rounded experience in public relations, print media and the inside workings of a photography studio.

Last weekend was such a memorable time especially for an amazing local charity. We had such an awesome time celebrating with the Kulture City organization. Celebrity sightings, great food and wonderful entertainment are always the perfect combination for a successful event! Events at Haven is the newest space in Birmingham that has taken the event world by storm and they had the wonderful role of being the host for the night. The Ball raised over $100,000 for Kulture City, which provides assistance for autistic children. There was a live painting demonstration by the dynamic David Garibaldi. The proceeds from those paintings went directly towards the Kulture City foundation. We're so grateful to be apart of such an inspiring night. Once again, it was time for one of our favorite parties of the year! The annual New Year New You party was held at Iron City this past Thursday night. The party was just a celebration of something that started way back in January. Every year, Matt Crane of Meta Fitness choses a winner to partake on a seven month weight loss and life changing journey! This year's winner, Derek had such an amazing transformation! We are so proud of everyone at Meta Fitness who is making a difference in so many lives! Every year, the event gets bigger and better! So many sponsors come together to make sure each year is more successful than the previous. I'm not sure how we're going to top next year's but thank you so much for allowing Arden Photography to capture these amazing moments!
The first time I spoke with Vickie, the only thing we talked about were her kids and how amazing they were! From that moment, I couldn't wait to meet the Cotney family. We spent some time at her daughter's home and I got a chance to meet her wonderful grandkids. This was such an awesome group of people and I really wanted to photoshop myself in the middle of the family. I could only imagine what holidays and football games in this household are like! All of the grandkids were so close and got along so well. They knew what photos they wanted and didn't mind asking for them specifically! I'm so glad that I had an opportunity to meet the Cotney family and I hope we'll have many more memories together! Here are a few of my favorite photos!
