Endearing Smiles | Arden Photography 2018

2017 was an exciting year for Arden Photography! We photographed many weddings at multiple locations, but there is no doubt we are thrilled to be heading into 2018 with Blake Jefferson and his finance Katie Merkl! Their wedding will be in October of this year and we can't wait to be a part of their big day. The couples intimate engagement session was filled with endearing smiles and loving embraces. Just seeing the visible romance between the two makes us want to snuggle up and enjoy a relaxing evening with the ones we love. We are so excited to be heading into 2018 with such fun and warm hearted couples!

Happy Tuesday and be sure to stick with us through 2018 so you don't miss out on the chance to see what beautiful moments this year has to offer!

Hannah & Jared: Arden Photography

Who likes a stroll in the park on a Sunday afternoon?  I do!  It's always fun when leisurely time turns into a photoshoot!  It was just an ordinary walk in the park and some photos in between.  We're so excited about Hannah and Jared's Windwood Fall wedding!   We met the couple back in February and they're just as adorable today as they were then.  We spent the afternoon downtown among some popular Birmingham attractions:  I've always loved this city and it seems like every week, there's a new space waiting to be photographed.  Hannah and Jared's photos are absolutely stunning, but who could expect less from a stunning couple?  We're counting down the days until November 19th!

Barrow & Michael: Arden Photography

Night-time in downtown Birmingham means you've never seen a city more brilliantly lit up. Bridges, ballparks, fountains all bright with vibrant splashes of colors and cobbled streets glowing with soft lamps. Barrow and Michael simply trusted us when we planned for them a night-time engagement session in downtown Birmingham, promising them a beautiful array of bright, colorful, and romantic images. I don't think we disappointed. I am so in love with these city images: the light-installment bridges with so many colors filling the scene turning it into a wonderland of sorts, the city-proud Birmingham sign in the background leaves no room for question, and especially the black and white images that feel so soft and romantic. There is nothing better than a couple that just trusts your creative intuition, and Barrow and Michael did not fail! If this is any indication of what their wedding will be like, we could not be more excited!

Morgan & Patrick: Arden Photography

Morgan and Patrick walked hand in hand the entire time we shot their engagement portraits at Windwood Equestrian. They are another one of those couples who are just so happy in love and cannot wait to be married to one another - our favorite kind of course! Windwood has become quite the popular engagement shoot location, which is easy to understand - it is such a beautiful location with a multitude of different backdrops for your portraits! 2015 really is shaping up to be our favorite wedding season yet!

Can't Wait for Katie's Big Day: Arden Photography

A late fall afternoon at Windwood Equestrian makes for gorgeous images! Especially when you've got such good-looking subjects to photograph! Katie is one of our 2015 brides, and it is shots like these that are making us so excited for the new year to come! 2015 is just around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited for this couple's big day!

Erin & Josh: Arden Photography

Erin and Josh aren't tying the knot until June, 2015. But as you can tell, they are incredibly excited to spend the rest of their lives together! Newly engaged couples are so easy to photograph - they are practically glowing and so sweet on each other, this couple specifically though. It might have something to do with the fact that Josh had been away in the military and now Erin is finishing school in Memphis. No wonder they couldn't let go of each other! Now we are already looking forward to next summer's weddings! Congratulations you two!

Julie & Paul: Arden Photography

We loved shooting these engagement portraits out by Regions Field and Railroad Park! That Birmingham emblem blazing in the background makes for great photos! It seems so urban and modern and then you turn the corner and you have the lush green grass of Railroad Park - way to go Big Ham! Julie and Paul blended seamlessly into this landscape with their pet pup! This couple was so cute and affectionate - we can't wait to shoot their wedding in a few weeks!

Lacey & Ben Engagement Portraits: Arden Photography

As far as engagements go, I've never heard a story of how the question was popped that went according to the plan. Something always happens that puts a kink in the whole design. In Ben and Lacey's engagement story it was the weather, of course! Ben had originally planned to propose to Lacey at Railroad Park, but his schemes were thwarted - and he would have gotten away with it had it not been for that pesky Alabama weather! So to commemorate that effort, we headed to Railroad and Vulcan Park to snap their engagement photos - no bad weather in sight!

Brittney & Cory Engagement: Arden Photography

Brittney and Cory came ready for their engagement photos exuding that "Sweet Home Alabama" quality. Decked out in cowboy boots and American colors, she was the epitome of Southern Belle, and he, the proud example of "good ole boy." Her daughter came with us, and gave us a never-ending supply of sassiness and humor, and kept everyone laughing throughout the shoot! We explored Railroad Park and Morris Avenue seeking out trains and tracks - all aboard the love train!
