The Birmingham Zoo held their annual Zoo Gala this past Friday night. The event was held in it's signature location, Trails of Africa. Thanks to The Major Event, everything was perfectly planned and beautiful! Andy Hopper of KG Designs was commissioned to provide the florals and decor. With colorful lanterns and cozy seating areas, Andy really outdid himself for this year's event. AG Lighting added a different touch for the Gala this year, a digital screen that was the focal point of the entire night. After the silent auction guests were entertained by live music and wonderful food provided by Kathy G and Company! Since it was the Birmingham Zoo's 60th anniversary, an amazing cake was provided by Barb's. The Zoo Gala has been the talk of the town this entire week and we're so excited that the event was once again a huge success! We can't wait to see all the surprises next year's event has in store!

Kathy recommends to newly engaged brides a few tips to get them through the planning process of the wedding:
Tip #1: The first thing any Bride should do would be to secure your date for your Ceremony & Reception Venue. Everything else will follow.
Tip #2: Get Organized. It is so helpful when a Bride comes in to a meeting already having an idea of what she wants. Having a binder or photos of weddings, bouquets and menus gives us a great start to create her vision.

We had so much fun at Kathy G’s Birthday party! Guests were asked to dress as their favorite celebrities. We saw appearances from James Bond, Marilyn Monroe and the Gatsby’s. THE Kathy G was not even the only Kathy G there! After Kathy made her entrance on a motorcycle, guests enjoyed a celebrity roast, some sassy dirty dancing and a belly dancer! But the excitement did not end there. The cake even made a unique entrance, it was lowered from the ceiling into the center of the dance floor! Guests were elated to spend Kathy’s birthday with her and we can not thank her enough for letting us share this wonderful night with her!
