We've always loved an excuse to attend a party! Arden Photography was front and center for the grand opening of Meta Fitness! This has been a dream come true for Matt and his partners and we could not be more excited for him! The fitness studio looks amazing and I was almost motivated to work out! After food, drinks and some social mingling, everyone heading outside for the finale of the ribbon cutting. I guess it's official, Meta Fitness is open for business and we wish you all the success in the world! Congratulations again and thank you for allowing us to be apart of the journey!
Lizzie & Rod's Rehearsal Dinner: Arden Photography
Two rehearsal dinners are better than one! We started the night off at the Grand Bohemian for a cocktail party in honor of Lizzie and Rod's big day! Champagne flowed, guests mingled, laughter filled the air and then we did it all again an hour later! That's right, the party moved to Galley and Garden where basically the same things happened, but on a smaller scale. It was such an awesome idea to have the celebration of the soon-to-be newlyweds at two different places. It was an opportunity for Lizzie and Rod to show some of the amazing places that Birmingham has to offer. This was such a fun night and I could not have asked for a better group of people to photograph! Congratulations on your wedding Lizzie and Rod and we know your parties will be double the excitement from now on!
Glenwood 2016! A Night Under the Big Top: Arden Photography
Once again it was time for A Night Under the Big Top! Every year the event, which benefits Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Health Center, is held at The Club. The casino-styled event consists of a poker playing night with dancing and a silent auction. This year seemed to be bigger than ever! With an estimated crowd of 800 people, this was definitely the place to see and be seen! The silent disco, which was held on the terrace overlooking the city's beautiful landscape, is always a nice additional that really gets the party going! Overall, the fundraiser was a huge accomplishment for the center! We are always thrilled to be apart of such an amazing night! Alabama Ballet Pointe Ball 2016: Arden Photography
We absolutely love photographing the Pointe Ball! After all, you know the night will be filled with some amazing dance moves. This past weekend, Alabama Ballet held its annual Pointe Ball at The Club and Arden Photography was front and center. The room was painted red with decor and florals by Ray Jordan. The ball benefits the Alabama Ballet so we were actually treated to some preview performances from the company. After performances, guests wined, dined and participated in the silent auction. After dinner, the party moved into a room that was more appropriate for dancing! This is one of our favorite events to photograph and we're always counting down the days until next years! We hope you enjoy the photos!
Welcome to Moulin Rouge!
We had so much fun photographing Tricia's birthday party! Her husband surprised her with this French-inspired night in honor of her big day. Friends and family of the birthday girl helped her celebrate while enjoying music, dancing, and delicious food, of course! Kathy G and Company served a mouth-watering array of French cuisine while the Full Circle Venue was transformed into a scene straight from a glamorous Parisian nightclub. Thanks to Jackie Rowell and Hothouse Designs, the party was a total success! We hope Tricia had as much fun as we did on her special night.
Maestro's Ball 2015: Alabama Symphony Orchestra
We're always excited when this time of year comes around. The Maestro's Ball was held on Friday night and Arden Photography was front and center. We absolutely love photographing this event because every year the tent always holds a huge surprise for us. Sybil Sylvester of Wildflower Designs, definitely outdid herself this year! The florals were absolutely amazing and thanks to the team at Event Rentals Unlimited, the tent was just as fabulous with it's changing colors and creative chandeliers. Chris Hastings started the dinner with his famous tomato salad. The Maestro's Ball benefits the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and guests are treated to a concert before the party began. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the night! There were so many great moments and we're already counting down until next year's event!
Mo's Photo of the Week: Arden Photography
This past weekend, Meagan and Bly exchanged vows in Cullman, AL. After the wedding, the bridal party and guests continued the celebration at Windwood Equestrian. Meagan looked absolutely stunning in a custom Heidi Elnora gown. Hothouse Designs , M. Elizabeth Events and D'Armond Catering were some of the amazing vendor's who contributed to Megan and Bly's picture perfect day. The rain held off and we were able to shoot some of our favorite images in the field at Windwood. It was the perfect location for the perfect photo! We are so excited to share this sneak peek with you and please be sure to check the blog soon for more photos from this awesome wedding! Congratulations to Bly for simply choosing the "most beautiful girl in the world"!

Mr. George McGrady: Mo's Photo of the Week
Whenever my sisters and I drove my mother to a state of mental disruption, she would always mention this place called “Retirement”. As a child, my only knowledge of that place was the fact that it was somewhere near the beach and kids were not allowed. After all, it was actually created as an escape from everyone and everything and you never had to work again! I mean, by this point I was pretty sick and tired of doing chores and five dollars a week was not cutting it. Why couldn’t I go to “Retirement” and never have to clean my room or wash dishes ever again? But, then something happened….. I GOT OLDER! By the time I had my first job in college, I was so ready for retirement. This work thing was really hard and you had to do it everyday! Last weekend, I had the privilege to photograph Mr. George McGrady’s retirement party. I stood there and realized that retirement wasn’t some utopia that was created as an escape, it’s actually a reward. The smiles that filled that room along with the congratulatory handshakes and cheek kisses, reminded me that hard work really does pay off. Congratulations Mr. McGrady, reserve a few acres in the land of retirement for me!
