My favorite thing about Jamie when I first met her to talk about her wedding day was her confident, girly style. I loved that she wanted to incorporate that all throughout her details from her color palette and even to her bridesmaids' dresses! When everything came together on the wedding day, everything could not have looked more perfect! The couple was so photogenic, they were the picture perfect bride and groom!

Jeannie and Ryan were wed on a gorgeous spring day at the farm. The weather could not have been more perfect, and Jeannie looked absolutely stunning. Jeannie and Ryan exchanged vows at the school barn in front of their closest friends and family. As soon as they were pronounced husband and wife, we took some priceless photos of just the two of them of their first couple minutes as a married couple! The couple and their guests spent the rest of the night dancing the night away with Feel the Beat Entertainment. Guests enjoyed a delicious menu from Happy Catering, and my personal favorite part of the night... the cake! Jan O'Donnell provided two gorgeous cakes for the couple and they were delicious!

It is officially summer, and wedding season is in full swing season at Arden Photography. Two years ago today, Morgan and Patrick tied the knot at The Sonnet House on the most beautiful spring day. Their gorgeous outdoor ceremony was followed by dancing the night away under the golden lights with their closest friends and family.

Once again, it was time for one of our favorite parties of the year! The annual New Year New You party was held at Iron City this past Thursday night. The party was just a celebration of something that started way back in January. Every year, Matt Crane of Meta Fitness choses a winner to partake on a seven month weight loss and life changing journey! This year's winner, Derek had such an amazing transformation! We are so proud of everyone at Meta Fitness who is making a difference in so many lives! Every year, the event gets bigger and better! So many sponsors come together to make sure each year is more successful than the previous. I'm not sure how we're going to top next year's but thank you so much for allowing Arden Photography to capture these amazing moments!
Who likes a stroll in the park on a Sunday afternoon? I do! It's always fun when leisurely time turns into a photoshoot! It was just an ordinary walk in the park and some photos in between. We're so excited about Hannah and Jared's Windwood Fall wedding! We met the couple back in February and they're just as adorable today as they were then. We spent the afternoon downtown among some popular Birmingham attractions: I've always loved this city and it seems like every week, there's a new space waiting to be photographed. Hannah and Jared's photos are absolutely stunning, but who could expect less from a stunning couple? We're counting down the days until November 19th!
It's amazing how fast the years are flying by! It seems like yesterday when we photographed Jenna and Andrew's beautiful Windwood wedding. I can't believe it's already been two years! Emily and Rustin's awesome Fall wedding was just featured on Wedding Wire! Wedding Wire has featured so many of our weddings and we absolutely love working with them. Emily and Rustin were married at St. Marks and the reception was held at Windwood Equestrian. Thanks to Handley Breaux Designs, this wedding had some of the most amazing details ever! The day that I met Emily, I knew I wanted to be her photographer! She had the sweetest personality and we immediately clicked. This was one of those weddings where we basically spent the day hanging out and taking a few photos here and there. I didn't meet Rustin until the rehearsal dinner but I knew who he was before I was introduced. He was exactly the way Emily described him, charming and handsome; the perfect combination. I thought to myself "Wow, does she even know how lucky she is" and "Does he even know how lucky he is"? The wedding day was a replica of these two personalities; two beautiful people, two amazing stories and too much love to ever imagine! The day was filled with tears of joy, laughter and pure excitement as these two became one. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have shared this day with Emily and Rustin! Congratulations to this sweet couple and I can't wait to see how your love story continues.
Today we're looking back at one of our favorite weddings of the year! Sarah and Jeremy's Windwood wedding was simply amazing. The day was filled with shades of blush and soft pinks. Thanks to Cece Designs, plush florals and beautiful decor surrounded us the entire day! Through custom doors, the couple exchanged their vows in the presence of family and friends. After the ceremony, guests were treated to a night of dancing and celebrating under the stars. Sarah wowed everyone by changing into a complete different wedding dress for her exit! The team at M. Elizabeth events deserves a round of applause for planning this flawless day! We're so happy for Sarah and Jeremy and thank you for letting us be part of this day!
Dylan popped the question, and now Aimee is a beautiful bride-to-be! The happy couple made it official on a perfect autumn day, and we had so much fun capturing the moment. Aimee was serenaded by musicians as she followed a trail of love notes left by Dylan, until she found him, ready and waiting, on one knee! It was such a special day for the happy couple. It is obvious that the two are head over heels for each other! We wish Dylan and Aimee all the best as they prepare for their upcoming wedding and their future lives together.
I absolutely love this photo from Caroline and Bobby's Windwood wedding! It's so sweet and simply stunning. Sometimes, I'm fortunate to be a second shooter with Arden and these are the moments that honestly take my breath away. They're the photos that brides and grooms don't necessarily see take place, but they always seem to be the wow factors of the day. This is such an amazing photo for an amazing couple. We had so much fun photographing Tricia's birthday party! Her husband surprised her with this French-inspired night in honor of her big day. Friends and family of the birthday girl helped her celebrate while enjoying music, dancing, and delicious food, of course! Kathy G and Company served a mouth-watering array of French cuisine while the Full Circle Venue was transformed into a scene straight from a glamorous Parisian nightclub. Thanks to Jackie Rowell and Hothouse Designs, the party was a total success! We hope Tricia had as much fun as we did on her special night.
Well if this isn't an entrance, I don't know what is! Most brides choose to walk the path from the barn to the ceremony site, but not Caroline! She wanted to arrive in style and that's exactly what she did by cruising with her dad in a vintage Camaro. All eyes were definitely on sweet, sweet Caroline when she stepped out of this hotrod and into everyone's hearts! The Camaro has been fully restored an although flawless, no one near as flawless as our bride. Congratulations to Caroline and Hayden! I'm free this weekend if the two of you would like to pick me up for a ride on the town! Make sure you let the top down!
I love it when a bride is caught off guard and it creates a magical moment. My photo of the week is from Sarah and Jordan's amazing wedding at Alys Beach. Sarah was actually waiting on one of her bridesmaid's for a photo when someone said something that captured her attention. The photos that captivate me the most, are the ones where you become lost in the actual image. Even though her eyes are not directed towards me, there is a certain softness and innocence that actually takes you back to that perfect Saturday; to that exact location at the exact moment. I am in love with this photo!
