Morgan & Patrick: Arden Photography

Morgan and Patrick walked hand in hand the entire time we shot their engagement portraits at Windwood Equestrian. They are another one of those couples who are just so happy in love and cannot wait to be married to one another - our favorite kind of course! Windwood has become quite the popular engagement shoot location, which is easy to understand - it is such a beautiful location with a multitude of different backdrops for your portraits! 2015 really is shaping up to be our favorite wedding season yet!

Thank You Kimberly and Olivia!

Olivia’s mother, Kimberly, emailed me not too long ago to inquire about my Equus collection prints. She told me that her 11-year-old daughter is part of the hippotherapy program, Horse Ability, in New York where they live. Olivia is special needs with a rare genetic deletion that requires special attention and daily forms of therapy. She loves horses. Kimberly told me that Olivia is so happy when she is riding.  As a board member of Special Equestrians, it is these stories that truly touch my heart.

I hope you love the print of L’ami Noir – it is one of my favorites! Thank you for reaching out and sharing your story with me. Keep riding, Olivia!

If you have any questions about hippotherapy, please click the link to learn more. Programs like Special Equestrians are unique in their aim to provide therapy for persons with special needs.

11-year-old Olivia. Thank you for the photos, Kimberly!

Windwood Horse Show: Arden Photography

The annual Windwood Horse Show took place in August. It showcased riders of the Windwood Equestrian school as they confidently rode in on their valiant steeds. They galloped, they jumped hurdles, they tossed their long, silky manes in the summer heat - the horses, not the riders! Spectators had a great time also, exploring the Windwood grounds and meeting Phoenix - the miniature horse mascot. Be sure to visit the Windwood Equestrian website to learn more about the riding school and other events: http://windwoodequestrian.com

Equus:"Year of the Horse"

2014 is the year of the horse according to Chinese zodiac, which makes this upcoming year an exciting time for the Equus print collection. Specifically, the year 2014 is the year of the wood horse. Stable and strong, wood horses are better able to make decisions. They interact well with others; a trait that enables them to have more successful personal and professional relationships. The Equus collection publicly launched in November of 2013, however is a series put together over a span of three years. As each print captivates the strength and beauty of each horse it is clear that 2014 could not be a better year to fully launch the Equus collection!

Windwood Equestrian

Windwood Equestrian held a horse show this past weekend full of fun and excitement. The weather was amazing as everyone watched and cheered on all the participants. Arden Photography had a blast photographing, as well as cheering on these talented individuals. Congratulations to everyone who participated in this wonderful event!
