A chapel wedding and farm reception make for the perfect Saturday. Wendy and Shane were wed at First Lutheran Church for the perfect summer wedding. Family and friends gathered at the gorgeous church for Wendy and Shane to exchange vows, and then danced and dined all night at Windwood Equestrian in celebration. The best nights are complete with a miniature horse, so "Phoenix" made his appearance to make sure everyone was having fun! Best wishes to the happy couple!
There are some weddings that rainy days just can not dampen, and this was one of them! The rain stopped just in time for Hollace and J.R.'s ceremony at the school barn, and it could not have been more perfect. We loved getting to know this couple throughout our time with them! Hollace and J.R.'s beautiful day was full of all the gorgeous details thanks to Hothouse Design Studio! We love a day full of pastels and lanterns, and that is just what Hollace and J.R.'s day was! We knew Frannie and Josh would be a special couple when Josh said he was from Ireland! They were married at Windwood on a beautiful spring day in March. Their choice not the have a "first look", but instead to exchange notes before the ceremony made the day extra special and intimate. They made the day so easy with their lighthearted humor and laughter. We always look forward to tasting the cake, and Magic Muffins did not disappoint! It is officially summer, and wedding season is in full swing season at Arden Photography. This week we're celebrating the anniversary of one of our favorite couples, Meagan and Bly! A year ago this week, a vendor dream team came together and created one of the most magical days in Arden Photography history! It was an incredible ceremony in Culllman, Alabama followed by a glamorous farm reception at Windwood Equestrian. Thanks to the lovely ladies of M. Elizabeth Events, this entire day was perfection from start to finish. An abundance of cascading orchids and timeless florals filled the courtyard while a floating coat was the focal point of the barn area. We can't believe it's been a year already! We were hoping for a one year anniversary soirée to commemorate this day but I guess we're counting down to the 10 year mark so we can do it all over again! Happy Anniversary Meagan and Bly! We wish you many more years of happiness and cheers to one year!
Amanda and Bryan were married on a beautiful day at Windwood Equestrian. We met Amanda last year during the beginning planning stages of her wedding. I remember thinking how gorgeous her eyes were and how I couldn't wait to see her as a bride! The wedding took place at the School Barn where family and friends gathered to watch this adorable couple exchange vows. I remember asking Amanda to describe Bryan to me. She mentioned that he loved the outdoors and that definitely showed with his choice for a groom's cake. The couple welcomed guests into the reception where they wined, dined and partied the night away. I can truly say that Amanda and I will be friends for years to come! We grew extremely close during the planning process and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this couple! Kaci and Jordan are real life versions of Barbie and Ken! They both have that beautiful blonde hair and that perfect smile! Every single photo from this wedding was just as gorgeous as the next. Thanks to the wedding planning of I Do I Do, everything was perfect! The wedding took place in front of the School Barn at Windwood Equestrian. Guests gathered to watch the two lovebirds exchange vows on the anniversary of their grandparents wedding. This was such a touching moment as the two recognized the many many years of marriage between Kaci's grandparents. After the ceremony, the guests wined and dined while the newlyweds made a grand entrance. After a quick wardrobe change, the bride made her debut back on the dance floor with a cute little white halter dress. Kaci and Jordan made their grand exit through a tunnel of cheering fans! Congratulations to this amazing couple! We wish you many years of happiness together!

This week's vendor spotlight is the amazing M. Elizabeth Events. Everyone isn't necessarily meant to be a wedding planner, but this group of ladies or should I say "organizing pros" definitely did not miss their calling. They're always there to ensure a flawless day for the bride, groom and vendors. Their "behind the scenes" hustle and bustle is appreciated by the entire bridal party, families and everyone who works together to pull off the perfect wedding. We've had several weddings together over the years and we're looking forward to a fabulous 2016 season. Thank you to the ladies of M. We knew 2016 would be awesome and we're off to a great start! We've relocated our office to 4848 Highway 11/Pelham,AL. We are so excited about our new space and we can't wait for everyone to visit our new studio! It's really been a labor of love and we're so thankful that it's finally complete. We're looking forward to brand new and exciting things in 2016!
The day that I met Emily, I knew I wanted to be her photographer! She had the sweetest personality and we immediately clicked. This was one of those weddings where we basically spent the day hanging out and taking a few photos here and there. I didn't meet Rustin until the rehearsal dinner but I knew who he was before I was introduced. He was exactly the way Emily described him, charming and handsome; the perfect combination. I thought to myself "Wow, does she even know how lucky she is" and "Does he even know how lucky he is"? The wedding day was a replica of these two personalities; two beautiful people, two amazing stories and too much love to ever imagine! The day was filled with tears of joy, laughter and pure excitement as these two became one. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have shared this day with Emily and Rustin! Congratulations to this sweet couple and I can't wait to see how your love story continues.
We've been there from the beginning! We photographed the wedding, the maternity session, the newborn session and now little William is officially a year old! I love it when Arden Photography is there for the entire journey of our fantastic couples. It's pretty awesome to see firsthand the paths that our couples take from engagement into parenthood. I remember last year this time, I was introduced to a tiny newborn who wasn't too pleased to see a photographer that day. A year later, some things still haven't changed! That's completely fine because we became great acquaintances by the end of the session. Thank you Dawn and Billy for allowing us to share the most important moments of your lives. We can't wait to see what the future holds for the two of you and I'm sure Arden Photography will be there for all of it!
Today we're looking back at one of our favorite weddings of the year! Sarah and Jeremy's Windwood wedding was simply amazing. The day was filled with shades of blush and soft pinks. Thanks to Cece Designs, plush florals and beautiful decor surrounded us the entire day! Through custom doors, the couple exchanged their vows in the presence of family and friends. After the ceremony, guests were treated to a night of dancing and celebrating under the stars. Sarah wowed everyone by changing into a complete different wedding dress for her exit! The team at M. Elizabeth events deserves a round of applause for planning this flawless day! We're so happy for Sarah and Jeremy and thank you for letting us be part of this day!
The only thing my sister and I ever fought over were shoes. I always knew when she had been in my closet because something was always out of place! Well, I almost had that same fight again this weekend but not with my sister; it was with Scout(Emily's dog). I wanted to get photos of Emily's wedding shoes in her bedroom. When I placed the shoes on the floor, Scout immediately jumped off the bed and started guarding the shoes like the President's secret service! The closer I got to the shoes, the more she growled until it eventually became a terrifying bark! I noticed that Scout began to dance a little around the shoes and then it became pretty clear that she was actually trying to get her feet into Emily's Kate Spade's! What a smart dog and she obviously has great taste in shoes!
This weekend was extremely sentimental seeing our former intern, Sally marry the love of her life! Sally worked for Arden Photography for years and has officially become one of our favorite people on the planet. We've watched her journey through college, leave her hometown and become a resident of another state and now marital bliss. We are so excited that Sally found her Prince Charming and we couldn't be more thrilled about the opportunity to share this amazing day with them. Congratulations to Rob and Sally!
I absolutely love this photo from Caroline and Bobby's Windwood wedding! It's so sweet and simply stunning. Sometimes, I'm fortunate to be a second shooter with Arden and these are the moments that honestly take my breath away. They're the photos that brides and grooms don't necessarily see take place, but they always seem to be the wow factors of the day. This is such an amazing photo for an amazing couple. On a gorgeous Summer's day, Erin and Zack exchanged "I do's" at Windwood Equestrian in Pelham, Alabama. This sweet couple had an exciting day to remember that mirrored their personalities. Their picture-perfect day was filled with fun props, colors, and a bridal party to match. Not to mention, Erin's stunning gown took everyone's breath away-not just Zack's! They danced the night away with food, friends, and family, and finished the night off with an Alabama themed groom's cake and shaker exit. Congratulations Erin and Zack!
