Amanda & Bryan: Arden Photography

Amanda and Bryan were married on a beautiful day at Windwood Equestrian.  We met Amanda last year during the beginning planning stages of her wedding.  I remember thinking how gorgeous her eyes were and how I couldn't wait to see her as a bride!  The wedding took place at the School Barn where family and friends gathered to watch this adorable couple exchange vows.  I remember asking Amanda to describe Bryan to me.  She mentioned that he loved the outdoors and that definitely showed with his choice for a groom's cake.  The couple welcomed guests into the reception where they wined, dined and partied the night away.  I can truly say that Amanda and I will be friends for years to come!  We grew extremely close during the planning process and  I can't wait to see what the future holds for this couple!  Congratulations and thank you for choosing Arden Photography to share this amazing day with you!

Kaci & Jordan: Arden Photography

Kaci and Jordan are real life versions of Barbie and Ken!  They both have that beautiful blonde hair and that perfect smile!  Every single photo from this wedding was just as gorgeous as the next.  Thanks to the wedding planning of I Do I Do, everything was perfect! The wedding took place in front of the School Barn at Windwood Equestrian.  Guests gathered to watch the two lovebirds exchange vows on the anniversary of their grandparents wedding.  This was such a touching moment as the two recognized the many many years of marriage between Kaci's grandparents.  After the ceremony, the guests wined and dined while the newlyweds made a grand entrance.  After a quick wardrobe change, the bride made her debut back on the dance floor with a cute little white halter dress.  Kaci and Jordan made their grand exit through a tunnel of cheering fans! Congratulations to this amazing couple!  We wish you many years of happiness together!

Sneak Peek: Emily & Jason

Don't you just love a sneak peek?  Well, so do we!  We couldn't wait to share some photos from this weekend's amazing wedding!  After a threatening Winter storm on Friday, the weather was all smiles on Saturday for Jason and Emily's big day.  The sky was blue, the temperature was a bit nippy, but that wasn't anything a fur coat couldn't handle.  The wedding took place at one of our favorite churches' in Birmingham, The Cathedral Church of the Advent.  After the couple exchanged vows, everyone headed to the reception at Vestavia Country Club where Emily was the life of the party!  Everyone danced, twirled and sang along to some of her favorite songs including her custom playlists.  Check back for more photos from this awesome wedding and congratulations to Emily & Jason!

Vendor Spotlight: M. Elizabeth Events

This week's vendor spotlight is the amazing M. Elizabeth Events for keeping our brides smiling and for the amazing times that we've had together!

We knew 2016 would be awesome and we're off to a great start! We've relocated our office to 4848 Highway 11/Pelham,AL.  We are so excited about our new space and we can't wait for everyone to visit our new studio!  It's really been a labor of love and we're so thankful that it's finally complete.  We're looking forward to brand new and exciting things in 2016!

Emily& Rustin: Arden Photography

The day that I met Emily, I knew I wanted to be her photographer!  She had the sweetest personality and we immediately clicked.  This was one of those weddings where we basically spent the day hanging out and taking a few photos here and there.  I didn't meet Rustin until the rehearsal dinner but I knew who he was before I was introduced.  He was exactly the way Emily described him, charming and handsome; the perfect combination.  I thought to myself "Wow, does she even know how lucky she is"  and "Does he even know how lucky he is"?  The wedding day was a replica of these two personalities; two beautiful people, two amazing stories and too much love to ever imagine!  The day was filled with tears of joy, laughter and pure excitement as these two became one.  I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have shared this day with Emily and Rustin!  Congratulations to this sweet couple and I can't wait to see how your love story continues.

Alexandra & Jordan: Arden Photography

It's always a pleasure to photograph a family that you've known for such a long time.  Alexandra is the daughter of my friend Angie so you could imagine my delight when I was asked to be apart of such a special day! Alexandra and Jordan were married at one of our favorite places in Birmingham, Independent Presbyterian Church.  The day started with a piano session and ended with a grand exit to a vintage car! With beautiful florals, classic bridesmaids dresses and a picturesque bride, this was such a timeless wedding!  After a nightfall ceremony, guests gathered at The Club for the reception.  Guests wined and dined and danced underneath a floral canopy.  Arden Photography is so thankful for the opportunity to witness pure joy, happiness and the enthusiasm of being a newlywed couple.  Congratulations Alexandra and Jordan!  We wish you a lifetime of amazing days!

Sarah & Jeremy: Arden Photography

Today we're looking back at one of our favorite weddings of the year!  Sarah and Jeremy's Windwood wedding was simply amazing.  The day was filled with shades of blush and soft pinks. Thanks to Cece Designs, plush florals and beautiful decor surrounded us the entire day!  Through custom doors, the couple exchanged their vows in the presence of family and friends.  After the ceremony, guests were treated to a night of dancing and celebrating under the stars.  Sarah wowed everyone by changing into a complete different wedding dress for her exit!  The team at M. Elizabeth events deserves a round of applause for planning this flawless day!  We're so happy for Sarah and Jeremy and thank you for letting us be part of this day!

Mo's Photo of the Week: Arden Photography

This weekend was extremely sentimental seeing our former intern, Sally marry the love of her life! Sally worked for Arden Photography for years and has officially become one of our favorite people on the planet.  We've watched her journey through college, leave her hometown and become a resident of another state and now marital bliss.  We are so excited that Sally found her Prince Charming and we couldn't be more thrilled about the opportunity to share this amazing day with them.  Congratulations to Rob and Sally!

Mo's Photo of the Week! Arden Photography

I absolutely love this photo from Caroline and Bobby's Windwood wedding!  It's so sweet and simply stunning.  Sometimes, I'm fortunate to be a second shooter with Arden and these are the moments that honestly take my breath away.  They're the photos that brides and grooms don't necessarily see take place, but they always seem to be the wow factors of the day.  This is such an amazing photo for an amazing couple.  The entire day was filled with moments like this. We were so excited to share this special time with you.  Congratulations Caroline and Bobby!

Mo's Photo of the Week: Arden Photography

Well if this isn't an entrance, I don't know what is! Most brides choose to walk the path from the barn to the ceremony site, but not Caroline!  She wanted to arrive in style and that's exactly what she did by cruising with her dad in a vintage Camaro.  All eyes were definitely on sweet, sweet Caroline when she stepped out of this hotrod and into everyone's hearts!  The Camaro has been fully restored an although flawless, no one near as flawless as our bride.  Congratulations to Caroline and Hayden!  I'm free this weekend if the two of you would like to pick me up for a ride on the town! Make sure you let the top down!

Erin & Zack: Arden Photography

On a gorgeous Summer's day, Erin and Zack exchanged "I do's" at Windwood Equestrian in Pelham, Alabama. This sweet couple had an exciting day to remember that mirrored their personalities.  Their picture-perfect day was filled with fun props, colors, and a bridal party to match. Not to mention, Erin's stunning gown took everyone's breath away-not just Zack's! They danced the night away with food, friends, and family, and finished the night off with an Alabama themed groom's cake and shaker exit. Congratulations Erin and Zack! Thank you so much for sharing your day with us!

Lyndal & Daniel: Arden Photography

I can't believe Summer is officially over!  We've had such an amazing Summer wedding season and we're ending it on the highest note possible with Lyndal & Daniel's all white affair!  Birmingham Country Club provided the perfect backdrop for  beautiful pre-ceremony photos and Lyndal opposed tradition by allowing her bridesmaids to wear flowing white dresses that resulted in some of the most breath-taken photos all Summer. Elegant florals by Leah Hazzard and the team at Mariee Ami, truly made this wedding an event to remember. After the ceremony at Church of the Highlands, guests were invited back to the Country Club for a wonderful night of dancing.  Congratulations Lyndal & Daniel!

Mo's Photos of the Week: Arden Photography

Five minutes before Erin walked down the aisle, I pulled her to the side for the best 90 second photo shoot ever!  It was simple, glam and the results are drop-dead gorgeous!  Erin looked  absolutely stunning in an elegant Hayley Paige gown with a bold red lip and classic hair.  I couldn't think of a better way to start the week than a little eye candy for your wedding glam appetite.  Every bride dreams of the perfect wedding gown and there were moments during the day when I literally pictured myself in this amazing dress.  Congratulations to Erin and Zack! Thank you for allowing us to spend this wonderful day with you and we can't wait to share more awesome photos!

Bridal Bouquets 2015: Trends

While weaving together the details of your wedding, one of the hardest decisions can be about that one unforgettable touch: your bridal bouquet. It's the bundle of flowers you'll be holding as you swirl throughout all the events of your special day.  To help you gather inspiration, we've combed through all of the top wedding sites and have narrowed down on the best, blooming bridal bouquet trends of 2015.

The Farm-Fresh Look: This "fresh from the garden" and just-picked look is topping the charts as one of the hottest trends of 2015. Brides are beginning to chose a more rustic and artfully styled look for their flowers. With this trend, many brides are choosing to use locally-sourced, seasonal blooms in order to coincide with the style and support local farms. It's a win-win!

Keeping it Classy: White blooms with long, green stems will forever be in style. This elegant look can be filled out with a classic white rose and calla lillie combination, or you can add in peonies and hydrangeas for a bit more flare. The possibilities are endless, but the look remains timeless.

The Old-Fashioned: For the antique bride, vintage inspired flowers are a perfect fit. Fill up your bouquet with a mix of gorgeous dahlias and whimsical chrysanthemums, and you are sure to get "ohhs" and "ahhs" all night.

Bright & Bold: If you've got a personality with a little spunk or a style with a bit more flare, then amp up your bridal bouquet with more volume, length, and of course, color.

Heidi & Joel: Arden Photography

The week before Heidi and Joel's wedding could be described as a pre-lude to Noah's Arc.  It was the most rain the area had received all year.  But, something remarkable happened- the morning of the wedding the rain stopped and we realized that we were surrounded by the most beautiful and greenest grass I've ever seen.  Could this be Ireland?  No, it was Windwood Equestrian but for a moment it could have been mistaken for the twin sister of the country with plush meadows and vibrant woodlands!  It was the perfect backdrop for the perfect couple!  This was such an enchanting evening and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day; a day filled with plenty of laughter, a Crimson Tide video highlight and one of the most popular bands around-Act of Congress. We are so thrilled to share a few of our favorite photos with you. Congratulations to Heidi and Joel!

Sarah & Jeremy Engagement: Arden Photography

I drive past Jemison Park everyday on my way to and from work.  It's one of those places that you notice but you never really have time to stop and enjoy it.  Sometimes, a nice stroll in the park is exactly what we need as a refresher for the week to come.  It makes it even more enjoyable when you have the company of two amazing people.  Sarah and Jeremy spent their afternoon with me among the rustling trees and flowing water of Jemison Park.   It was a picture perfect day and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to spend it.  Sarah and Jeremy will be married this July and we're so excited that we were chosen to share this special day with them.  Congratulations Sarah and Jeremy!  May your days ahead be as wonderful and spontaneous as a walk in the park on a Winter afternoon!
